LEISTRITZ has minimized the inherent problems originating with the compressibility and temperature fluctuations of oil. This is accomplished by using smaller cylinders to limit oil volume, thus operating at higher pressures. In addition to a sling, cylinder and power unit, LEISTRITZ packages also include all other necessary components such as wall brackets, platform, safeties, as well as pipe rupture valve and overspeed governor.

The traveling sheave is routed by its own guide frame and shoes running off the main guide rails. Traveling sheaves are designed with safety factors for excess load conditions and are equipped with long life ball bearings. The bearings together with the special guide shoes provide a very smooth ride. In addition, the single-stage cylinder utilizes higher working pressure to contribute to the smooth ride quality.
